Sheila Williams, BMR(PT), Physiotherapist

Sheila Williams has over 21 years of experience as a physiotherapist in both hospital and private practice settings. Sheila has a special interest in acupuncture, and along with practicing physiotherapy and acupuncture, she is also on faculty with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and is one of their Directors of Education. Sheila is the new clinic owner and is very pleased to continue on the practice that Stephen has built, grown and nurtured over the years





Stephen Leung, BPT, Physiotherapist

Stephen Leung has over 37 years of experience as a physiotherapist, beginning in Hong Kong and then moving to Winnipeg where he started his career in hospital physiotherapy departments. He opened Markham Physiotherapy in 1988 and continues to see patients on a full-time basis. Stephen has a special interest in the management of temporo-mandibular joint dysfunction, as well as in physical reconditioning programs.






Gabriel Wu, BMR(PT), Physiotherapist

Gabriel has a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation (Physical Therapy) and is a graduate of the University of Manitoba. He joined Markham Physiotherapy in 2009. Gabriel enjoys treating all types of orthopedic and sports injuries and is dedicated to helping his patients find solutions to their pain and injury.

Prior to his career in Physiotherapy, Gabriel completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Honours Computer Engineering in 2003.





Lindsay Pratt, MPT, BKin, Physiotherapist

Lindsay is a graduate of the Master of Physical Therapy program at the University of Manitoba, following her Bachelor of Kinesiology. She has worked in both hospital and private settings before joining the team full time in April 2015.

She has experience working with orthopedic injuries, post operative rehabilitation and stroke rehabilitation. She takes particular interest in preventing sport and running injuries with targeted strength and motor control exercise




Kim Okano, BMR(PT), Physiotherapist

Kim graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physiotherapy in 1990. She received her Diploma of Manipulative Physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Orthopedic Division in 2004.

Kim began her career working in a hospital setting, but then switched over to the specialty of private practice physiotherapy. The bulk of her treatment expertise lies in the area of manual therapy, which includes mobilization and manipulation of the muscles and joints of the body. She also utilizes acupuncture and dry needling as adjuncts to her treatments. Kim is currently an assistant instructor for the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.



Pam Barkowski Hodgson BMR(PT), Physiotherapist

A love of sports brought Pam to begin her education at the U of M by completing a Bachelor of Physical Education and Medical Rehabilition – Physical Therapy. While her primary focus has been on orthopaedics and sports injuries, she continued to expand her knowledge by getting her Advanced Diploma of Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy.
Pam is also certified to practice accupuncture by the AFCI and most recently has become a certified yoga instructor.




Krista VanCauwenberghe, BKin, RMT

Krista graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2015 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree with a major in Athletic Therapy. She then went on to complete the RMT program at the Massage Therapy College of Manitoba. She joined the Markham team in the summer of 2016 as both a Massage Therapist and Athletic Therapist. Krista enjoys treating all types of orthopedic and sports injuries. She has an interest in injury prevention and reconditioning to get you back to your sport or activities of everyday life. She also enjoys developing individualized massage treatments to help reach your specific needs and goals, whether that is rehabilitation, chronic issues, maintenance, or overall relaxation and stress relief.
